Today is August 6, 2011 and I am in Chantilly VA for the Brick Fair. I had purchased my ticket 2 months ago online. That was a really smart move. I arrived at Dulles Expo center by 10:00 AM. There was a long line on the cash line and the ticket holders line was short. 1/2 hr after I got in the line even ticket holders line became long. If you are planning to attend next year's Brick Fair, make sure to buy your tickets online and arrive at the expo center an hour earlier. It's just unbelievable!! I was in first 15 people to get to the Brickarms/Brickmania booth.
I could hardly get a chance to talk to Badger and later on received a free prototype "coreburner". Thanks BADGER! They had some new Brickarms products. There was the HAC, ARC, Greese gun, and the Browning. They also had a new brass color. The whole thing was amazing.
There were WWII MOCs including Op. Siege and lots of city MOCs.
There was a giant giant (I would say at least 15 feet tall) crane made of Lego,obviously.
There were some MAD SCIENTISTS at the Mindstorm tables.
There was also a really big black and red castle. It was just AWESOME!! The guy said that it took 2 months to build the castle.
